God's Holiness I'm listening to my three-year-old play the harmonica behind me. Due to this, you'll have to forgive any typos. *giggles* Anyway, it was a good day. Church was lovely, as usual. The sermon was about worship, actually about worship in regard to God. We went into many of the different ways in which God is worthy of our Worship. Today was the last, and the most important. It was about fear of God, and His holiness. The fact that people are so caught up in making God PC that they forget that He is to be feared, as well as loved. He is worthy of our adoration because He is great, good, loving, powerful, terrible, just, and true. He made a good point. We talk all the time about God's love, and His patience, and all that, but under it all, and forgotten much of the time, is that He is Holy. He is just in His wrath, because His wrath is that of Holyness. The Lord's anger was never unjustified, and is always pure. And He is just in His love, because that is pure as well. What, other than pure, holy, unconditional love, could love the likes of us? All of us? The fear of God isn't what brought me to Him, but it is something that I do understand. I also understand that that same holiness is the reason some things that the world accepts are not acceptable to Him. I'm not pointing fingers, because we're all sinners, and I'm guilty of participating in many of them over the years, but that is true. May God be with you all, and protect you this coming week!
