Cowboy Mouth

Cowboy Mouth releases "UH OH" July 29th!

Cowboy Mouth Celebrate Their New Release Uh Oh On July 29th

(PRWEB) July, 2003 -- Cowboy Mouth releases their newest album, Uh Oh, on July 29th. The release will kick-off their national tour which is campaigned by 33rd Street Records and Katrina Markarian.

Kicking off their new summer tour, Cowboy Mouth will be riding in style in a 45-foot Prevo tour bus sponsored by Southern Comfort. The band will be touring throughout the U.S. to support their latest CD, Un Oh on 33rd Street Records, a division of Bayside Entertainment Distribution.

Once again, Southern Comfort is excited to be the official sponsor of Cowboy Mouths second year tour. Over the past two years, Southern Comfort and Cowboy Mouth have hit more than 135 cities to offer a blend of rock, punk, country and folk music. And just as Mouths music is unique, wait till you see their tour bus! This 45-foot Prevo tour bus, adorned with the artwork of French Quarter artist and New Orleans treasure Matt Rinard, truly captures the good times between friends.

Uh Oh is the bands 9th album and finds Cowboy Mouth at the top of their game. Cowboy Mouth is taking control of their own career and their own records. In early January of 2003, Cowboy Mouth recruited the management team of Jeff Hanson Management and Promotions/Bombtrax Management (Creed/Sevendust) to lead the charge in capitalizing on the bands history and success, ultimately taking the Cowboy Mouth experience to the next level.

Barqs Root Beer, another major sponsor based out of New Orleans recently put out a 5 song Limited Edition CD called Uh Oh in anticipation of the upcoming release from Cowboy Mouth.

This Limited Edition CD sold out and is no longer available but you can check it out at Barqs website and hear the songs on the EP now. According to Barqs, The band has a sound that is unique and a style that is uniquely local.

Cowboy Mouths music is infectious, as are their personalities, and youll quickly learn theyre out to have a good time. Theres a lot of new stuff happening with these guys and Barqs has the inside scoop. You can go to their website at (www.barqs.com),

On their new CD, Uh Oh, that infectious energy is captured by songs like the first single Better, with its driving back beat and smart lyrics wrapped together by throaty harmonies. Better ships to rock radio on July 30th. Uh Oh, a guitar-driven comedic look at love, is reminiscent of Talking Heads and Frank Zappa, built on top of a bouncy pop hook thats nothing less than contagious.

Friends is a double-speed, acerbic anthem to breaking up (She said lets go, I said hell no. I dont want to be friends). But just when you have the group pegged as a party band, they hit you with a song like Disconnected (Have you ever felt the thunder inside your heart?), a scratchy rock reflection on personal isolation.

Every song has a hook, and every song has a surprise. When you add it all up, its a sound thats paradoxically unique and familiar. After listening to Uh Oh, its hard not to become a Cowboy Mouth fan. You simply want to sign on to the energy, the driving rhythms, and the foot-stomping joy that emanates from every cut.

Promoter Barry Lyons of Rent A Label says, Radios enthusiasm for Cowboy Mouth hasnt diminished any over the years. The single Better is a top 10 hit in Phoenix at KZON-RADIO averaging 30 spins this week.

Singer and drummer Fred LeBlanc began making his own music in his hometown of New Orleans. After playing in a few bands around the Crescent City area, he drummed with the legendary Louisiana Barnburners of Dash Rip Rick before joining forces with Griffith (formerly with the Red Rockers), ex-Bluerunners bassist Savoy, and Sanchez. Cowboy Mouth has since released nine recordings.

LeBlanc is once again backed by guitarist Paul Sanchez, keyboard wiz John Thomas Griffith and, as of April 2003, bassist Mary LaSang joined the band and has been rocking across the country. You can see Cowboy Mouths upcoming tour dates at www.cowboymouth.com.

Rock and roll pretty much saved my lifeit woke something up inside of me that I havent wanted to put back to sleep. Ever -Fred LeBlanc
